Autumn and Charlie moved into a new home right across the street from a park and gated pool so we headed out to see their new place and celebrate cousin Kailey's 7th birthday.
We noticed a thunderstorm was rolling in from the huge clouds in the sky and about a half hour after we arrived in Queen Creek, I experienced my first (from what I remember) Arizona monsoon thunderstorm. You wouldn't call it rain, it was huge buckets of water falling from the sky. Because of the extreme amount of water falling it made a lot of noise as it hit the streets and houses . It didn't make the outside temperature change one degree, it remained 99 degrees at 11pm and it left as fast as it came. The sky was a beautiful blue with big white puffy clouds strolling in the sky the days to follow. The weather cooled off the day we left, which made traveling in the middle of the afternoon bareable.
Since the pool was across the street and it was super hot the kids swam a couple times a day.
If you thought the pool across the street satisfied the kids need to cool off, think again, we took them to Big Surf Water Park for one day. They had a blast!
The girls loved night time because it felt like a never ending sleep over.
Kailey's PJ birthday party was a ton of fun! Mclain and Charlie were the Italian chef's who served homemade pizza and fresh fruit to the guests. Autumn was the party manager organizing games and dancing. Dylan, Gavin, and Bryant were the cupcake decorators.....eaters.....and Riley and Madison were the birthday girls best friends at the party. The kids enjoyed decorating their own slipper socks and wearing them as they danced the night away. They made their own icecream sundaes and played till it was over.
