RAA Summer Swim Team

Madison signed up for the Summer Swim program with RAA, Riverside Aquatics Association.  The season went from April until July.  Many of the families in our ward highly recommended the program and now that Madison has completed one season she wants to sign up again.  

She loves swimming especially in the warm summer months and enjoyed the competitions.  The meets are short but playing with friends, eating snacks, and watching the others race was the perfect summer program for her. Our practices were at King High School, right around the corner from us and the meets were once a week.

Before each race, the kids would sit on bleachers with their age group. An adult leader would guide them to the edge of the pool and help them find their lane there were going to race in. Madison raced free style and back stroke.  She enjoyed both.

I would be on the other side of the pool to cheer for her and since the sun was in her face she would try and look for me to make sure I was going to be there when she finished.
