Halloween Parade and Trunk-or-Treat

Madison's school does a Halloween parade every year.  Parent volunteers pass out candy to the kids as they parade three miles down the street and back.

Madison wanted to wear her "Little Mermaid" dance costume for Halloween.  We ordered the costume before we realized she wouldn't be able to be in the recital.  Good thing we were able to use it for the school parade. :-)

This is Madison's Kindergarten class waiting to line up for the parade.  They all looked so CUTE in their costumes.

Her teacher, Ms. Terri, was quieting the class so the entire school could stand up and say the pledge of allegiance, including parents.  It was really neat.

We finally made it outside.  Even though we brought her trick-or-treat bag from home she wanted to use the one she made at school.  It wasn't as sturdy, but it held all the candy.

I liked how Ms. Terri and the other teachers dressed up for the parade.  It made it more fun for the kids to see their teacher in a costume.

That night was the wards Trunk-or-Treat.  Madison had been wearing Mclain's old Kung Fu outfit as dress up around the house and decided she was going to wear it as her second costume.

I went as a football player, wearing Mclain's old jersey and pants from Midgets, Mclain went as Elder Williamson, wearing Tim's missionary tag, Bryant was a golfer but had to come to the activity late because he was playing in a football game out in Palm Springs.

I'm not proud to say that the majority of the candy was consumed by Tim and I as we watched TV late at night.  We definitely have a sweet tooth and if there's candy in the house we are eating it.
